Am I Pretty Yet?
Body dysmorphic disorder is a mental health condition in which one can't stop thinking about one or more perceived defects or flaws in one’s appearance, according to the Mayo Clinic. Am I Pretty Yet? is not only a depiction of the disorder but also a commentary on unrealistic beauty standards set by a patriarchal society. People, women especially, choose to mutilate their bodies over insecurities they have been brainwashed to have not only by societal standards but also by corporations wanting to sell the next big fix.
