Living Death
Living Death is a series of six 10x15in black and white still life photographs depicting the routine of someone in the throes of grief. I have found that the hardest part of grief is the small moments you no longer share with the person that is gone. This project exposes different areas of longing by exploring the intimate space of someone’s home. The photographs specifically focus on routines, capturing the pockets of grief within them on an intimate level. Seeing inside the life of someone who feels dull and lacking; part of the reason the photographs are in black and white. By looking behind each carefully arranged set, you can start to see the absence of something.
