Memini is a Latin word that directly translates to “I remember” in English. It’s usage, however, is meant to communicate the idea of keeping someone in mind. This word is powerful to me as someone who has lost many people in this life. I keep them in mind long after they are gone and in this case, have them kept in a book. The book is hand-sewed and embroidered from materials I inherited from my great-grandmother, who appears as Mom-Mom in the book.
